Accomodation in the Athenian RIviera

As many of you will be traveling to Greece to celebrate with us, we wanted to share some of our favorite places to stay along the beautiful Athenian Riviera. We chose this part of Athens because it combines everything we love about Greece — seaside views, relaxed summer evenings, amazing food, and the convenience of being close to both the airport and the city center.For anyone visiting for the wedding weekend, we highly recommend staying in either Vouliagmeni or Glyfada, two of the Riviera’s most beautiful seaside neighborhoods. Vouliagmeni is quieter, elegant, and known for its beaches and luxury atmosphere, while Glyfada is livelier, with great restaurants, cafés, bars, and shopping. Below are some hotel options we personally recommend for different styles and budgets.

A Few Helpful Notes

• Most Riviera hotels are approximately 25–40 minutes from Athens International Airport.
• Vouliagmeni is quieter and more upscale, while Glyfada has more restaurants, nightlife, and shopping.
• Taxis and Uber are very easy to use in Athens.
• We recommend booking accommodation early, especially during the summer season.
• If you plan to spend extra days in Greece, the Riviera is also a wonderful base for beach days, boat trips, and exploring Athens.
